Patio Furniture Cleaning & Care
Regular cleaning and proper care can help extend the life of your Skyway Terrace outdoor furniture and keep it looking its best. Use mild soap, clean water and a soft cloth or brush. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the furniture’s protective finish, vinyl straps or sling fabric.
General Cleaning
Mix a small amount of mild dish soap or natural soap with water. Gently clean the furniture using a soft cloth, sponge or brush, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Do not allow soap, cleaning products or chemical residue to remain on the furniture.
Aluminum Frame Care
Clean aluminum frames with mild soapy water approximately every three weeks, or more often when needed.
- Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive brush.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the frame to dry completely
- Apply a light coat of automotive wax occasionally for added protection from outdoor conditions.
Vinyl Strap and Sling Care
Clean vinyl straps and sling fabric using mild soap and water. Avoid bleach, strong detergents, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, as they may weaken or discolor the material.
Rinse thoroughly and allow the furniture to air-dry completely before use.
Sunscreen, Lotion and Body Oils
Sunscreens, tanning products, lotions and body oils may affect outdoor furniture materials when left on the surface.
We recommend placing a towel over chairs and chaise lounges before sitting or sunbathing. Clean any residue as soon as possible.
Storage and Everyday Use
To protect your Skyway Terrace furniture:
- Store it indoors or in a protected area during severe winter weather.
- Do not stand, jump or lean back excessively on chairs or lounges.
- Lift furniture when moving it instead of dragging it.
- Do not exceed the recommended weight capacity.
- Use each product only for its intended purpose.
